Steve Lytte The Sydney Morning Herald One of the world’s foremost meteorologists has called the theory that helped Al Gore share the Nobel Peace Prize “ridiculous” and the product of “people who don’t understand how the atmosphere works”. Dr William Gray, a pioneer in the science of seasonal hurricane forecasts, told a packed lecture hall at the University of North Carolina that humans were not responsible for the warming of the earth. His comments came on the same day that the Nobel committee honoured Mr Gore for his work in support of the link between humans and global warming. “We’re brainwashing our children,” said Dr Gray, 78, a long-time professor at Colorado State University. “They’re going to the Gore movie [An Inconvenient Truth] and being fed all this. It’s ridiculous.”

Yes, it's true AL Gore looks like he's going to be sharing the Nobel Peace Prize with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. For his "efforts" on Global Warming. But really, what are his accomplishments? He's not a scientist, he just took some scientists' theory and made a nice PowerPoint Presetation. Shouldn't he just get a prize for marketing or computer programming or something?

Movie: The Great Global Warming Swindle

Westwood Hills Nature Center will continue its conversation with the community about global warming this fall by presenting the film, "The Great Global Warming Swindle." The film shows an alternate viewpoint to the one presented in the showing of " An Inconvenient Truth " earlier this year. The city hopes the films will foster a balanced community dialogue on the topic of global warming. This documentary was produced by Martin Durkin and argues against the scientific opinion that human activity is the main cause of global warming. The movie is 90 minutes long with a discussion to follow the movie.
